Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is a click ID, and what does it do?
A click ID is a unique code we attach to the affiliate URL during the redirect from your Creator Link. When a sale is later reported by the affiliate network, that click ID is reported back as a subid, which is how we attribute the sale to the original click, and the click to the video or post it came from.
Does this work with every affiliate network I use?
Creator Links works across the affiliate networks wecantrack already supports. If you’re connected to multiple accounts on the same network, we automatically match the conversion to the correct advertiser relationship and market.
Do I need a separate plan or add-on for Creator Links?
No. Creator Links is included in every wecantrack plan — there’s nothing extra to buy or enable.
Can I use Creator Links for TikTok and Instagram, not just YouTube?
Yes. Creator Links works anywhere you’d normally drop an affiliate link — YouTube descriptions, Instagram bios and stories, TikTok captions, or blog and website content.
What if I already tag my links with UTM parameters manually?
You can keep doing that, or let Creator Links generate and manage the tags for you. Either way, the click ID and attribution layer works the same underneath.
