In order to integrate Awin conversions in Google Analytics and other marketing tools, it is necessary to attribute the sales data to the traffic data. Our service automatically places SubIDs in your affiliate links, which enables us to automatically match your traffic and affiliate conversion data.
You have the option to decide whether you want to connect your Awin network account to our system via API or Postback URL.
The installation is done in four simple steps:
If you want to connect your Awin account with our system, you need to provide us with an API key for each Awin accounts and with publisher IDs of all your Awin sub accounts. Those credentials need to be filled in within our data sources page which you can find by following this link: https://app.wecantrack.com/user/data-source/networks/awin/accounts/create
You can give each of the data connections different names and tags. This enables you to easily filter your data on account or sub account level.
Only one integration method is required, we recommend using the API because it provides more transaction details.
If you want to use the Postback URL connection, all you need to do is generate a Postback URL on our platform, which you will then place in your Awin affiliate network account. You can generate your Awin Postback URL here: https://app.wecantrack.com/user/data-source/networks/awin/accounts/create
Our JavaScript tag automatically locates each affiliate URL and appends an ID to it. It also collects your website’s session and click data. Once a sale is reported in AWIN, it is collected by wecantrack through the API connection. After that the sale is being attributed to the click and session and then imported to Google Analytics or other tools.
Once you fully connected your Awin publisher accounts to wecantrack you have the possibility to let us integrate those into your Google Analytics accounts. To accomplish that only two more steps are needed (JavaScript insertion on your website and Ecommerce activation in your Google Analytics accounts) which should not take longer than 10 minutes.

Awin hosts thousands of advertiser programs across retail, finance, and travel. Connect your Awin publisher account to wecantrack and every commission lands in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta next to the click that drove it.
For Awin we recommend the API integration. Both methods deliver conversion data to wecantrack, but via the API we receive more transaction details from Awin, while the Postback URL connection does not provide as much information. Please only use one connection method.
Wecantrack reports all transaction events which are reported back from Awin via API or Postback, this can include a sale, a qualified lead, or a CPA event. Awin reports each transaction with its advertiser, SubID, commission amount, status (pending, approved, declined) and more. wecantrack captures all of that and matches it to the click and session that drove it automatically.
Yes. Once Awin and your websites are connected, wecantrack can automatically attribute each conversion to the original click/session and integrate it into Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads Manager and many other marketing tools and ad platforms, using each platform's conversion API or postback integration. You see Awin commission revenue alongside the campaign, ad group and keyword that drove it.
No. The Awin API key is generated inside your Awin publisher dashboard and pasted into wecantrack. The Postback URL alternative is also a copy-paste setup. Wiring conversions to Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta is handled inside the wecantrack UI.
Yes. Awin supports SubID parameters on every affiliate link, so you can label traffic by channel, creative, page, or campaign. The SubID values are also registered within wecantrack and available within the dashboard and reports.
Most partners finish the Awin API setup within a couple of minutes; you merely need to generate the OAuth2 token in Awin, paste it into wecantrack, add your publisher IDs, done. The longer part, if you have not done it before, is the initial wecantrack onboarding to your ad platforms, which is a one-time setup shared across every network you add.
