TikTok Ads Integration Guide

Once you have created your wecantrack account and connected your affiliate networks and websites our system will be able to track your traffic data and attribute your conversion data to it. Because of that we can integrate your affiliate conversions in TikTok Ads via Conversion API.

Creating a Pixel

  • If you already have a TikTok Pixel you don’t have to create a new one
  • If you don’t, please go to Assets > Event
  • Click on the ‘Manage’ button within Website Event
  • Give the pixel a name
  • Select that you will manually install the pixel code
  • Select a mode (it doesn’t really matter which one)
  • If you want to follow this guide, select Developer Mode
  • Copy the pixel code and place it on your website
  • Once the pixel is created you can get your Pixel ID
  • You will need to add that TikTok Ads Pixel ID within the website form on the wecantrack platform

Creating an Access Token

  • Go to your TikTok Ads pixel
  • Navigate to settings
  • Click on ‘Generate Access Token’
  • You will need to place this access token in the website form on our platform

Where to place the Pixel ID and Access Token

  • Navigate to Data Sources > Websites
  • Edit the website to which you want to add the Pixel ID and Access Token
  • Click on ‘Show more integrations’
  • Place the Pixel ID and Access Token in the corresponding fields
  • Click on ‘Save’

Activating the integration feature

  • Navigate to Features
  • Enable the TikTok Ads Integration feature

Triggering an event

In order to be able to select the CompletePayment event within your ad groups you will first need one event to be registered. Our system will trigger a CompletePayment event after you submit your pixel ID and access token within our website forms. In case that did not work you can trigger the event manually by following these steps:

  • Fill in your pixel ID in the field on the right
  • Click the submit button
  • Click on the CompletePayment button

The event should show within your pixel within 5 to 10 minutes. Afterwards you will be able to select it in your adgroups.

(make sure no ad-block is active)

Select the right pixel and event within ad groups

  • In order for the integration to properly work you need to make sure you select the right pixel and event within your ad groups
  • The event we are using is called ‘Complete Payment’
  • If the event is not available yet you can trigger it manually

Placing ttclid in Ad URLs

  • When creating your ads, make sure to include the ttclid parameter in the URLs
  • You can place the ttclid parameter within your URLs like this:
  • ?ttclid=__CLICKID__ (at the beginning)
  • &ttclid=__CLICKID__ (in the middle or at the end)
  • Example URL:
