How to integrate GoDaddy affiliate conversions in Google Analytics

If you wish to integrate all your GoDaddy Affiliate conversions in Google Analytics and other marketing tools, it is necessary to track and match the sales data with the traffic data. Our system automatically places SubIDs in your affiliate links, which enables us to automatically match your traffic and affiliate conversion data.

The installation is done in four simple steps:

  1. Create a wecantrack account
  2. Connect your GoDaddy (CJ Affiliate) account to our system via API
  3. Connect your website to our system
  4. Activate the integration feature

How to connect your GoDaddy account via API

In order to connect GoDaddy (program available in CJ Affiliate) to wecantrack, you need to provide us with your account’s API key (Personal Access Token), account ID and each site ID of the websites registered in your CJ account. Those credentials need to be filled in within our data sources page which you can find by following this link: https://app.wecantrack.com/user/data-source/networks/commission-junction/accounts/create

You can give each of the data connections different names and tags which enables you to easily filter your data on account or sub account level.

Frequently asked questions

Does GoDaddy support API or only Postback URL?

GoDaddy's affiliate program runs on CJ Affiliate, and the wecantrack connector uses the CJ Affiliate API. Get your CJ credentials from your CJ publisher account, paste them into wecantrack, and conversions flow on every qualifying event.

What event does the GoDaddy integration track?

A completed sale: GoDaddy's CJ Affiliate program pays commission on qualifying purchases of GoDaddy products such as domains, hosting, and Microsoft 365. The sale amount, commission, transaction ID, and SubID are registered as transactions in wecantrack.

Will my GoDaddy conversions show up in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta?

Yes. wecantrack pushes attributed GoDaddy conversions into Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta Ads as website conversions through server-side connections (via API or Postbacks), matched to the click. Optimise paid campaigns on real commission revenue.

Do I need a developer to set up the GoDaddy integration?

No. Setup is copy-paste between wecantrack and your CJ publisher account. Most affiliates connect GoDaddy within a couple of minutes.

Can I track SubIDs through GoDaddy?

Yes. wecantrack captures GoDaddy's SubID parameters and makes them available within the dashboard and reports.

How long does GoDaddy setup take?

GoDaddy can be connected within a couple of minutes: configure your credentials between wecantrack and CJ Affiliate, and conversions start flowing on the next GoDaddy event.
